| Many photographic portfolios highlight the technical prowess of the photographer. This portfolio does not. The feature here is the raw beauty of the Georgian Triangle. From rocky beaches of Georgian Bay, to the ruins of Castle Glen the possibilities for the photographer are endless. In this collection, I have tried to let the subjects speak for themselves. The photographs here were taken with inexpensive equipment, using basic photographic techniques. "Photoshop" manipulations in most cases were minimal. In a sense I have tried, to master the technology, in order to minimize its influence on the final image. All of the photographs in this show were taken within thirty minutes of my home in Collingwood. I consider myself lucky to be living here. Every day brings variations in light, and shadow that transform the landscape. |
